Digimap OS for Higher Education Launched Today

We are pleased to announce that the new Ordnance Survey licence agreement for Digimap is now available for acceptance. You are able to accept the licence via the Jisc Collections website.

The Digimap Ordnance Survey service was developed by EDINA, a Jisc Centre for service delivery and digital expertise, and provides access to a range of Ordnance Survey maps and map data for download and online mapping.

Information for current subscribers:

Please follow the process below to accept the licence for Digimap Ordnance Survey:

  • Log into your Jisc Collections account
  • Go to Digimap Ordnance Survey Collection® 2014-2016 in the Jisc Collections catalogue
  • Click on ‘Subscribe now’ and follow the order process in the usual way
  • By clicking on ‘I confirm and place order’ you will be agreeing to the terms and conditions of the new Digimap Ordnance Survey licence
  • As a current subscriber you will have already been invoiced for the period 1st August 2014 – 31st July 2015. Therefore, the invoice attached to your emailed order confirmation will display a ‘zero’ total
  • You will be invoiced as normal for the period 1st August 2015 – 31st July 2016 in June next year.

Please be aware that for an initial period, there will be 2 subscriptions for Digimap Ordnance Survey displayed in your Jisc Collections account. The new version is Digimap Ordnance Survey Collection® 2014-2016.

Please follow the process below to place an order for Digimap Ordnance Survey:

  • Log into your Jisc Collections account
  • Go to Digimap Ordnance Survey Collection® 2014-2016 in the Jisc Collections catalogue
  • Click on ‘Subscribe now’ and complete the order process in the usual way
  • By clicking on ‘I confirm and place order’ you will agreeing to the terms and conditions of the new Digimap Ordnance Survey licence
  • You will receive an invoice attached to your emailed order confirmation which will display a ‘zero’ total. An invoice for the correct fee will be emailed to you separately.

Please note: End users will be required to accept the terms of the End User Licence Agreement (EULA) when they access the Digimap Ordnance Survey Collection. Initially all users will be required to accept the terms of the EULA every time they login to the Digimap service and access the Ordnance Survey Collection. EDINA are currently developing a registration process which will require the user to accept the EULA only once which will be implemented at a later date.

Links to the new EULA are available from all applications within the service and we would encourage you and your users to read it carefully.
