Images Working Group
The images working group provides advice on collecting and
development priorities for still image resources through a process which
identifies and responds to user needs and supports the execution of the JISC Collections
Evaluation Framework (incorporating the JISC
Collections strategy and the JISC Development strategy).

Summary
The core aims of the images working group, as defined in
the JISC Collections strategy:

Secure access to a critical mass of high quality image collections
including discovery tools

Sevelop a service environment to support their use in learning, teaching
and research

Engage with rights owners to develop a shared consensus about access
terms and conditions
The images working group prepares and annualy updates a two-year
work programme consisting of a schedule of activities and
target outcomes, for annual endorsement by the JISC Content Services
committee.
