The following online resources took part in previous consultations and were evaluated by the further and higher education community. - Additional datasets for Historic Digimap
3 additional datasets from Landmark Information Group for inclusion in the Historic Digimap service were consulted on. These were the Historical Town Plans, the GOAD Fire Insurance Plans and the Green Belt Data.
Outcome: JISC Collections has licensed the Historical Town Plans in perpetuity and these will be made available as part of the Historic Digimap collection in the second half of 2009. The GOAD Fire Insurance Plans and the Green Belt Data were not taken forward.
- World Biographical Information System Online
This is a comprehensive and extensive biographical library based on the digitisation of microfiche collections drawn from K. G. Saur's biographical archives.

- PathCAL
PathCAL is a set of web-based tutorials designed to help students understand the basic pathological principles of disease by exploiting techniques in learning psychology.
Outcome: Following a successful consultation, this agreement has been renewed and is now available.
- ACLS Humanities E-Book
ACLS Humanities E-Book is a digital collection of over 2000 full-text, cross-searchable books in the humanities which are selected for their continuing importance to students and scholars.

- 20th Century House of Commons Parliamentary Papers
Twentieth Century House of Commons Parliamentary Papers extends the coverage of the Nineteenth Century House of Commons Parliamentary Papers (1801-1900) from 1901-2004 using the one seamless interface and allowing researchers to track papers and themes across more than 200 years of official records.

- 19th Century UK Periodicals Online
A major new multi-part series which covers the events, lives, values and themes that shaped the 19th century world. It provides an invaluable fully-searchable facsimile resource for the study of British life in the 19th century - from art to business, and from children to politics. Few of the materials in this extensive online collection have ever been reissued, in any format since original publication. All the original colour work has been specially captured for this programme.

- Rock's Backpages
Online database of rock music writing, with material dating from the early 1960s to the present day. The library of articles includes reviews, interviews and features which are fully searchable and presented in full-text. The database also includes mp3 audio files of original artist interviews.

- Cambridge Companions Online
Cambridge Companions Online is the electronic version of the renowned Cambridge Companions series. It covers literature, philosophy, classics, religion and cultural studies. Over 250 Companions offer lively, accessible introductions to major writers, artists, philosophers, topics and periods.

- Keesing's World News Archive
Keesing's World News Archive provides comprehensive and concise stories on world events since 1931. 100,000 carefully written articles are indexed, intricately linked and easily located using this new online database.

- Books on ScienceDirect
Comprised of e-books and journals within a wide range of subject areas including Chemistry, Mathematics and Psychology. It is made up of Handbooks, Book Series, Reference Works and eBooks, which is new for 2007.
Outcome: This resource is not being taken forward as a JISC Collections agreement.
- British History Online (BHO) - Premium Content
BHO is the digital library of the core printed primary and secondary sources for the medieval and early modern history of Britain. This agreement would make available their premium content - 122 volumes of the Calendar of State Papers, Domestic and the Calendars of State Papers for Scotland and Ireland.

- Cairn (online collection of French language journals on the social sciences)
The social sciences from a French perspective. The online collection contains over 115 journals in human and social sciences with over 25,000 articles from journals such as Les Actes de la Rechercheen Sciences Sociales, Etudes and Economie Internationale.

- D&B Global Reference Solution (GRS) and Hoover's Pro-Plus
D&B is a leading provider of global business information, tools and insight. Its Global Reference Solution is a commercial database with information on more than 113 million companies gathered in 220 countries, 95 languages or dialects and covering 181 monetary currencies. Hoover's Pro-Plus provides access to 2.2 million UK public and private companies and expert analysis on over 45,000 of the world's largest companies and over 600 industry sectors.

- Gene Journey
An online resource on the key topics in genetics; it uses an assortment of formats such as animation, photographic images and video to teach subjects that some students may find difficult. The product will not be fully launched until July 2007, however this consultation includes a trial of their Virtual Amniocentesis Lab and interactive lessons on mitosis and meiosis and chromosome pathology.

- ProQuest CSA Early English Books Online (EEBO) MARC Records
Provides definitive cataloguing information in MARC format for each of the 100,000 works currently available in EEBO. Libraries can load these records into their Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC), allowing library patrons to link seamlessly from the library's OPAC to the corresponding EEBO images.
Outcome: Thank you to all those who took part in the consultation. Based on the results and feedback however, JISC Collections has decided not to proceed with an agreement for HE and FE at this time. However, it is our intention to review this product again in the future.
- ProQuest CSA History Study Centre
Provides digitized primary and secondary sources for the study of history. The online resource covers global history from ancient to modern, and thus supports the teaching of British, American, European or world history.

- ResearchNow Full Access
Allows users to retrieve through a single, unified search interface, high quality scholarly research within the subscription-based, peer-reviewed Berkeley Electronic Press journals and institutional and subject-matter repositories hosted by bepress including bepress legal repository and COBRA: the bepress biostatistics repository.

- Social Theory
An online collection of influential writings that explore the complexities and interpret the nature of social behaviour and organisation. Each book, section, chapter and article within the online resource is indexed using a specially created thesaurus of terms, allowing users to search efficiently. It contains seminial works by authors such as Alexis de Tocqueville, Max Weber and Emile Durkheim.

- WellcomeFilm
Proposed content to the Film & Sound Online collection (currently free until 31 July 2009). WellcomeFilm is a virtual collection of 100+ hours of historical medical moving images and sound selected from the historical medical film collections of the Wellcome Library. The collection comprises a century (c.1900-2000) of medical, health and social care provision and practice in the UK.
Outcome: This content is currently being digitised.
- Eighteenth Century Journals II

- Academic OneFile
Academic OneFile is a multi-disciplinary database enabling exceptional coverage of first-class research materials covering everything from STM to the humanities. A robust journals collection, made up largely of peer-reviewed titles, is underpinned with reference, newspapers, magazines and audio content.

- BBC Motion Gallery
Launched in June 2004, BBC Motion Gallery makes available content from the BBC archive for the very first time. Footage has been derived from broadcast programming and, in many cases, from programme rushes thus much of the content has never been seen before. The Motion Gallery website has 30,000 clips for download. These clips are typically 5 to 20 seconds in duration and each clip is watermarked and has an individual identification number.

- Blackwell Reference Online (BRO) & Blackwell Encyclopaedia of Sociology (BEOS)

- EBSCO's GLBT Life with Full Text
GLBT Life is the definitive index to the world's literature regarding Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender issues. This database contains indexing and abstracts for more than 120 GLBT-specific core periodicals and over 230 GLBT-specific core books and reference works.

- EBSCO's Hospitality and Tourism Complete with Full Text
This resource covers scholarly research and industry news relating to all areas of hospitality and tourism. This collection contains more than 500,000 records, with coverage dating as far back as 1965.

- EBSCO's International Bibliography of Theatre and Dance with Full Text
The International Bibliography of Theatre & Dance is a comprehensive multicultural and inter-disciplinary research tool. Since 1984, the Theatre Research Data Center (TRDC) at Brooklyn College has published 14 volumes of the IBTD. These volumes comprise a fully indexed, cross-referenced and annotated databank of over 60,000 journal articles, books, book articles and dissertation abstracts on all aspects of theatre and performance in 126 countries.

- EBSCO's International Security and Counter Terrorism Reference Centre
ISCTRC provides a comprehensive Open Source Intelligence Resource for analysts, risk management professionals, and students. Content includes hundreds of full text journals and periodicals, hundreds of thousands of selected articles, news feeds, reports, summaries, books, blogs, FAQs, and proprietary Background Information Summaries that pertain to terrorism and security.

- EBSCO's SocINDEX with Full Text
SocINDEX with Full Text is a comprehensive sociology research database. The database features more than 1,660,000 records with subject headings from a 19,300 term sociological thesaurus designed by subject experts and expert lexicographers. This product also contains informative abstracts for more than 750 "core" coverage journals dating as far back as 1895.

- Institutional Preferences and Demand for Journal Archives and Backfiles

- Medieval and Early Modern Sources Online
(ISSN: 1716-9321) provides a large and growing resource of essential medieval and early modern sources relating to British and Irish history on-line. Each week new titles are added to the resource, with 300 titles currently available.

- Oxford University Press' American National Biography Online
The American National Biography Online is the premier biographical work on people from all eras who have influenced and shaped American history and culture. It includes profiles of more than 18,000 men and women from all walks of American life, from the well-known and the infamous to the important but lesser-known.

- Oxford University Press' Oxford African American Studies
The recently launched Oxford African American Studies Center (AASC) offers a comprehensive collection of scholarship available online to focus on the lives and events which have shaped African American and African history and culture. It provides more than 7,500 articles by top scholars in the field.

- Readex's Archive of Americana Digital Collections
The following three collections when taken together comprise virtually all English language books printed prior to 1800: Early American Imprints, Series I, 1639-1800; Early American Imprints, Series II, 1801-1819; Early American Newspapers, Series I, 1690-1876.

- Selected Organic Reactions Database (SORD)
The Selected Organic Reactions Database (SORD) aims to provide open access to a rich database of organic chemical reactions. SORD is about making a very large amount of extremely relevant chemical reaction data readily accessible and includes translations from non-English language sources.

- Web Citation IndexTM
JISC Collections is currently negotiating the licence for this online resource and an agreement will be available as soon as possible.
