Updated regularly, this resource is relevant to all levels of study and contains Sibelius enabled audio examples, learning resources and timelines, bibliographic information, and more.
Content description
Grove Music Online includes the full text of The New Grove Dictionary of Music and Musicians, The Oxford Companion to Music, The Oxford Dictionary of Music, The New Grove Dictionary of Opera, and The New Grove Dictionary of Jazz. Completed entries from the major new edition of New Grove Dictionary of American Music will be added on a regular basis.
This resource also includes learning resources and timelines, Sibelius enabled audio examples, external audio links at article level to Classical Music Library, and article-level links to the RILM database of music bibliography.
There is also a wealth of biographical information about printers and publishers, performers, composers, and writers.
Updates
Content is updated regularly with new and revised articles.
Publisher's selection policy
An advisory panel, made up of representatives nominated by eight societies devoted to music scholarship, meets annually and advises the editor on all aspects of the development of this resource.

An administration fee of £35 per invoice will be charged on invoices in excess of £600. This fee covers JISC Collections' administration and invoicing costs.
