The ACS Legacy Archives has been purchased by JISC Collections and is available free of charge in perpetuity to UK Higher and Further Education institutions and Research Councils.

Institutions now have free online access to over 464,000 articles from the complete backfiles of 22 journals published by the American Chemical Society between 1879 and 1995. Titles include some of the most highly-cited journals in the field, such as Chemical Reviews, the Journal of the American Chemical Society, and the Journal of Organic Chemistry.

Content description

The ACS Legacy Archives contain all titles, volumes, issues, and articles published by the American Chemical Society from 1879 to 1995. There are 22 journals, 11,117 issues, and 464,233 articles.

This is an essential collection of some of the most influential research in the fields of chemistry and related sciences such as biological and medicinal chemistry, polymer science and materials science.

The articles are available as PDFs and include high resolution scans of all figures and graphs.
