Information for Publishers
About JISC Collections
JISC Collections helps staff and students in colleges, universities and research councils use the power of the internet to make education and research more effective by providing them with a collection of high quality online resources. This includes a wide range of material including maps, images, databases, business information products and journals which span across all subject areas. Working in collaboration with a wide range of publishers, agencies and other content owners, JISC Collections is able to make web-delivered resources more accessible to institutions by negotiating for them at affordable rates and with special terms and conditions. This helps to ensure that staff, researchers and students can make the best use of the online resources. The overall aim is to enrich the education and research experience by allowing students, teachers and researchers to incorporate parts of these products in student assignments, lecture notes and presentations.
Proposal Submission
JISC Collections welcomes proposals from publishers. When submitting a proposal, keep the following information in mind:

- JISC Collections negotiates subscription rates for further and higher education institutions and research councils on the basis of JISC Banding.
- JISC Collections ensures that all the online resources in our portfolio are compliant with the required access management authentication standards of the JISC.
- The JISC Guidelines for Publishers are a series of fact cards that explain how publishers can comply with the JISC Information Environment Standards and how doing so benefits both publishers and their customers.
- Publishers should submit up-to-date information about their online resource by completing the Online Resource Product Description Form or by completing the online resource product description template, available as a Word document. If using the Word document please submit the completed document to collections_webmaster@jisc.ac.uk, remembering to include the name of the online resource in the title of the email.
