JISC Collections website - early adopters of Federated Access Management

placeholder image

In our January 2011 newsletter we announced our joining of the of the UK Access Management Federation enabling members to log into our website using federated access management. This gives our members two choices of log-in, either through the current username and password system, or following a brief account linking process, through their institutional username and password.

Since we launched federated access management in late January 2011, we have had a number of early adopters including the School of Oriental and African Studies, the University of Bristol, and the University of Cumbria.

If you wish to use federated access to log into your account, you will first need to have an entitlement value added to your institution's directory and then link your current username and password account to your federated access management account. We have provided detailed step by step instructions for you to follow.

Visit the Federated Access webpages in our Help and Information section for further details of how to join up.
