Electronic Resources Information Group - the successor to our Journals Working Group

placeholder image

The final meeting of our Journals Working Group took place in July, and we would like to take this opportunity to thank all members - both past and present - for their hard work and dedication.

The Group has achieved a great deal since the early days of the UK Pilot National Site Licence Initiative for Academic Journals in the late 1990s, and has been instrumental in encouraging the adoption of a number of best practice standards in licensing, archiving, preservation and usage statistics.

However, in view of the very challenging economic climate, and to better reflect the current online landscape, we have established the Electronic Resources Information Group.

Under the leadership of its Chair, Dr Hazel Woodward, this new Group will continue to steer our NESLi2 negotiations, but will have a wider remit encompassing databases and e-books to ensure a holistic approach.
