The JISC Collections Board of Management invites Institutional Members to identify qualified and motivated nominees for the office of Institutional Member Director. Successful nominees will thereby become directors of The JISC Content Procurement Company Ltd, trading as JISC Collections. Two positions are available on the Board of Management as a result of the current term of office of existing Directors coming to an end.
- Nominees must be members of staff of a higher or further education institution or research council in the UK.
- Nominees must be willing to serve a three-year term beginning immediately after the November 2010 Annual General Meeting in London.
- Institutional Members are invited to submit a nomination (and the reasons for that nomination). Individuals may not nominate themselves and each institution should only nominate one individual from their own, or from another institution.
- The current Institutional Member Directors may be re-elected.
Please note that the named representative at each member institution will receive an email giving full details of the online nomination procedure, including the timetable and more detailed information about the role and responsibilities of Institutional Member Directors. The email inviting nominations will be sent out on Monday 6 September.
If the number of valid nominations received exceeds the number of two Institutional Member Directors, the Board will conduct a ballot of the Institutional Members. Voting will be by electronic means, sent to an independent scrutineer. The election will open on 11 October and will close on 8 November 2010.
