We are pleased to announce a new agreement with Brill to offer access to the Bibliography of Arabic Books Online.
This resource provides a comprehensive bibliography and catalogue of books printed in Arabic script from the earliest printing activities in Arabic (c. 1730) until 1960. The records are based on Arab characters, with full authority control of romanised forms of names and places, as well as the western forms of the names, in accordance with major international standards (ISO, NACO, NAF).
Updated annually, the bibliography will ultimately contain approximately 65,000 titles of books and 15,000 authority records. In addition, the resource will include biographical information about the authors.
Bibliography of Arabic Books Online is available by subscription with an annual opt out clause.
