The Digital Library Licensing Service - a joint initiative between MLA and JISC Collections - has negotiated and licensed a package of ten online resources for English public libraries.
The resources have been selected in consultation with public librarians, to offer high quality content that will promote public library use and support lifelong learning. All are offered at discounted, banded subscription rates, and all use the same consistent DLLS model licence.
The project has been funded by MLA and managed by JISC Collections, with the aim of supplementing the resources already offered to public libraries through MLA’s Reference Online initiative, launched in 2006.
The agreements are also offered to local authority museums and archives.
Further information
More details are available on the DLLS website, which also features samples of the resources, free trials, and a selection of tools and logos that may be downloaded, printed, or embedded in library websites to promote the resources to library users.
