Credo Reference Topic Pages are designed to be an ideal starting point for students researching a new topic. They provide background information drawn from the 500+ reference titles on the Credo Reference platform, giving students context and vocabulary around a subject.
They assemble on the same page top search results from the library catalogue and other subscribed resources, selected by the librarian - a new approach to resource discovery and a valuable tool to increase usage. (News links and topical videos are also incorporated on the page).
Credo Reference are delighted now to offer easy integration of Copac and Archives Hub onto the customised Topic Pages.
Copac searches approximately 60 library catalogues at once including the national UK libraries (British Library, National Libraries of Scotland and of Wales) and the major research libraries, Cambridge, Oxford, Manchester etc.
The Archives Hub is a similar service which searches approximately 180 higher and further education archive repositories at once. (Expansion will soon include other types of archive too and now archives such as the BP archive, the BT archive and the archives of Institute of Electrical Engineers and the Wellcome Library etc. See the contributor page.
