Electronic Information Resources Working Group (EIRWG) - two year workplan

placeholder image

Our Electronic Information Resources Working Group was formed in 2010 to provide advice on collection and development priorites and to give clear direction on negotiations based on the real needs of librarians and the community they support. Chaired by Hazel Woodward, University Librarian at Cranfield University, EIRWG (which we pronounce earwig!) membership includes representatives from a range of higher education institutions across the UK.

The group has now agreed their Terms of Reference and their two year work plan which focuses heavily on steering journal negotiations and supporting us in providing librarians with shared services and tools to enable the effective evaluation of electronic resources. You can view their two year workplan and the summary minutes of the meetings to see what activity they will be discussing at their next meeting which will be in May 2011.
