The Childlink Information Service has been redeveloped.
A lot of new features and functions have been added to our service which your students may find beneficial including:
- Completely redeveloped advanced search engine making it possible to restrict searches by region, categories, types of content, use string matching, exclude words etc
- List of related content for every item on Childlink allowing users to get a wider informative view on topics
- Custom RSS feeds can be set up using the search engine to be automatically updated on specific content
- Auto suggest on search forms as users type
- Users who sign in to Childlink can bookmark items they find useful and return to them at a later date
- Users who sign in can suggest content to be added to Childlink which they think would be of benefit to other members
- New multimedia video section allowing users to watch and listen to important news broadcasts, ministerial speeches, academic presentations etc
- Redeveloped front page allowing quick and easy access to what's new on Childlink by region and type of content
- Ability for users to rate content they find most useful
- List of featured items that students may find of particular interest
In addition to these new features Childlink allows users to:
- Sign up for free weekly email updates summarising all that's new to a particular region that week
- Make a request for information or advice through the website and receive a response within 24 hours
- Sign up for RSS feeds
- Make use of the 9-5 live Online Surgery giving them immediate access to the Childlink Research and Advice team
