Image Quest is a new offering from Encyclopaedia Britannica for 2011 to 2013. This easy-to-use online portal provides quick access to rights-cleared high-quality images. This is an optional addition to the Encyclopaedia Britannica agreement, with discounted pricing offered to renewing Britannica Online Academic Edition subscribers (renewing in 2011/12).  Should an institution chose not to renew Britannica Online Academic Edition (BOLAE) but opt to take Image Quest, institutions will then be charged at the same pricing level as BOLAE.  For further information on pricing, please view the detailed pricing document located on the ‘pricing and subscription information’ tab for the relevant online agreement.

Please see the catalogue page for full information on the Image Quest agreement.  Should you wish to subscribe to both Britannica Online Academic Edition and the Image Quest agreement please see our catalogue page for more information on the combined agreement.

We are pleased to confirm that Encyclopaedia Britannica have offered a 0% increase for the 2011/12 Britannica Online Academic Edition agreement (over 2010/11 pricing), with a 3% increase in the 2nd year of the agreement.  Image Quest will also see a 3% increase for 2012/13.  Encyclopaedia Britannica have also agreed the annual opt out provision to give institutions further peace of mind.
