Over the years, JISC Collections has licensed in perpetuity a number of digital archives from ProQuest for higher and further education and the research councils. These are as follows:

When JISC Collections licensed these archives, we also paid access fees for the all higher and further education institutions for 5 years. As this period is now coming to an end, and as each sub-licence agreement comes up for renewal, we have had to introduce access fees. These fees have been kept as low as possible following our negotiations with Proquest.
19th Century HCPP is the first of the above resources to be affected by this change.
