Membership

Join the company that negotiates with publishers and content providers to benefit from access to premium online resources for learning, teaching and research. Our mutual trading structure means that a membership relationship is required in order to serve the community.

Why join?

Being a member of JISC Collections means that your institution / organisation will be able to enjoy access to an extensive and expanding portfolio of online resources for education and research at rates that would be impossible to achieve with our efforts. Our negotiations with publishers and content providers deliver substantial benefits for our members. For example in July 2009 we delivered over £43 million in annual efficiency gains. In addition JISC calculates that for every £1 invested in JISC Collections, we save the academic community £34.

There are two ways in which you can become a member, which are summarised below:

Institutional membership

All UK Higher and Further Education institutions, and Specialist Colleges that are directly funded by UK Higher and Further Education funding councils, and Research Councils are eligible to join as institutional members.
