Beginners guide to transactional website
In support of Jisc Collections negotiation and licensing service, we require members to place orders for resources via our transactional website service.
There are three main elements to the website service:
1) Catalogue: placing orders
2) My Account: managing orders
3) Licence acceptance
If you are new to the Jisc Collections website, we have compiled some helpful guides to get you started.
Our Catalogue lists all resources available for your subscription, although some resources will be for a different sector and you will see a message letting you know. You can subscribe to more than one resource in an order, to do this, click back to the catalogue after adding a resource to the basket. When you view the basket at a later point, all the resources you have added will be remembered, you will have the choice to remove any of these.
In the My Account area, you can see all the resources you have subscribed to and manage your account details. You should contact your Account Owner to be added as a user. The guide below shows the tabs which can be edited by the Account Owner and tabs viewable dependds on your user level.
There will be occasions when you can subscribe to a resource where its licence is not yet ready. At these times, you will be required to accept the licence at a later date, and you will be notified by an alert in your My Account area. This guide shows you how to accept these licences.
