As part of the £22 million JISC Digitisation Programme, access to this resource, via the publisher's server, is free to UK Higher and Further Education institutions and Research Councils until 31/12/2010. An access fee may apply after this date. Institutions can now cross search 2.2 million pages from 48 nineteenth century national and regional newspapers.
