Cairn.info offers a comprehensive Collection of online journals in French on the humanities and social sciences. In 2010 the collection reached 230 journals providing students, scholars, librarians and walk-in users with more than 80 000 online articles.

The project, supported by the Bibliothèque nationale de France (French National Library) and the Centre national du livre (Book National Center), collects an increasing number of major journals in the various fields of the humanities and social sciences. For each title, the service generally offers all issues published from the beginning of 2001, without any embargo period.

From 2010 not only  journals  are available but also collections of ebooks, (around 600 ebooks in 2010), paper editions and reference collections such as the « Que sais-je ?, a collection from the French Publisher PUF (800 ebooks).

Journals

You can subscribe to the complete package of over 230 journals, or to any of the following sub-collections:

- Humanities and social science package, including 167 journals (all but the psychology journals)
- Economics, social and political sciences package, including 107 journals
- Humanities package, including 66 journals in history, literature, philosophy and general interest
- OECD package, including seven journals published by OECD

- Collective books of research collections – 600 ebooks from 90 collections
- The famous French reference book collection: “Que sais-je ?” – 800 ebooks
