BIOSIS Previews are an electronic version of Biological Abstracts (BA) and Biological Abstracts/RRM (Reports, Reviews, Meetings), containing bibliographic information on subjects ranging from traditional areas of biology such as botany, zoology and microbiology to related fields such as agriculture, pharmacology, bio-physics, ecology, bio-engineering and experimental clinical medicine. The BIOSIS Previews Backfile 1969-2008 has been purchased by JISC Collections and is available free of charge to UK Higher and Further Education institutions, and Research Councils. Additionally, new subscribers to the BIOSIS Previews Backfile have the opportunity to receive access to the BIOSIS Previews Current Data at a deeply discounted rate. The new agreement will also provide access to the new Biosis Citation Index at no extra cost.

Books at JSTOR is an initiative to grant institutions the opportunity to acquire access to scholarly ebooks with assured perpetual access as part of JSTOR, one of the most well-known and widely used scholarly resources in the world.

Over 50,000 front and backlist titles are currently offered through the program by 125+ outstanding publishers from 18 countries, including university presses, scholarly associations and public policy organizations, and new titles are added every month.

In the Demand Driven Acquisition (DDA) model, acquisitions are determined by patron usage, so you will never pay for an e-book that goes unused. Institutions build a profile of titles to make available to their users. This can include all the titles available from Books at JSTOR, or a subset based on such parameters as publisher, discipline, copyright year, or maximum price.
