Our Stakeholder Group meets twice each year and
advises us on our role as a facilitator in market place, mediating between the
publishing industry and the requirements of our member institutions.
The group first met in February 2010 to discuss its
terms of reference and membership. The
group will focus on:
- The
development of licensing models that enable institutions to have wide access to
scholarly material and the permissions to use that material effectively
- The
development of business models that will enable institutions to acquire e-books
and other secondary material that will support scholarship and education
- Promoting best
practice to improve the discoverability of e-resources and the user experience
The group will be active in taking forward the recommendations
within the Overcoming barriers: access to research information content report,
published by Research Information Network (RIN), December 2009.
